

Chris Clements is a filmmaker and multi-media artist who works in a variety of media in the visual
and performance arts from film and photography to sculpture, painting, live performance and music.
Chris is also a founding member of The Mental Floss Film Factory, a group of like-minded
filmmakers devoted to the art of surrealist comedy.
His earliest film work was creating music videos for local Vancouver artists. Since then he has
moved on to directing short films, including surrealist comedies, and the revisionist western: The
Hire, as well as many other projects in a number of different generes. He is currently working on
pilot episodes for the television camp-horror series: Beyond the Shadows, as both director and
writer of Episode 2.
Chris attended the Film Arts Programme at Langara College in 2008 after completing their two year
Fine Arts Programme and has been working closely with fellow up and coming film makers since his
graduation on a host of varied projects.
Chris has also worked as a musician since the late 1990s, creating hours of studio music under the
moniker YPC (including Creative Commons music available for use in film and other applications
through the YPC website) and performing live in other bands since 2000.
Chris continues to work in many media, directing and writing films, working as director of
photography and cinematographer, as well as composing music and sculpting.
He is currently the DOP and camera operator for the hit Novus TV show Hibachi in the Rain
